Ok, so I'm sure most of you have heard about the bombing in Boston today. It's absolutely terrible. As of now there are 3 people confirmed dead, and over 100 injured. People have lost limbs, and have suffered major traumas. Not to mention the PTSD that quite a few people will probably develop. Terrorism. It's just unbelievable. So, if terrorism is supposed to be some sort of show of power, why doesn't the guy (or girl) who did it take credit for their act? I mean, without saying who they were working for then how are they supposed to show thqt their organization is "powerful"? Sure, they might be scared of being arrested, but hey, if you're bold enough to bomb the Boston Marathon then jail isn't too much of a concern, right? Either that or they're way to confident in their ability not to get caught. Whatever their thought process was, the result of their actions was absolutely devastating. The evil in the world is increasing, guard yourself. I'm praying for all the wounded, the families of those who were injured and killed, and the world. They need your prayers as well. Even in the darkness, there is still hope. Keep faith in God, He's the only one who can truly fix the world.
"But hold on to what you believe in the light
When the darkness has robbed you of all your sight."

Poetry
So, as I mentioned in the last post, I'm going to share some of my poetry with you. I've pretty much always liked coming up with little rhymes which, as I got older, developed into poetry. For a little while I lapsed in my poetry writing, I guess I just forgot that I liked it so much. I don't know why. Anyway, I've started writing again because one of my close friends likes poetry too, and inspired me to start again. Here's one of my recent poems:
And I can’t quite believe
That this beauty belongs to me
All the stars in the sky
Twinkle brightly at night
And the moon shines upon the earth
Nothing can quite compare
To all the wondrous beauty here
Everything has enormous worth
Admiring all that is mine
The beauty and grace
Contained in this place
Shall endure until the end of time
So yeah, haha I also had to write a sonnet for school, so I'll post it too:
I wish I could be a bird in the sky,
Flying above the dreary earth below.
With my beautiful feathered wings, I'd fly,
Up towards the gorgeous golden sun's bright glow.
I feel freedom in the empty night air.
The moon's reflection on still, dark water
Makes me imagine a girl, tall and fair
As if earth and heaven had a daughter.
I wish I were that lovely, ghostly girl
Who finds freedom waiting for her at night
She has nature to hold her as she twirls
And for her, everything is alright.
I see these visions dancing in my dreams,
And nothing is ever quite what it seems.
And that concludes my poetry post, I may share some more of my poetry another time. Until next we meet, farewell :) haha
A sea of light and wonder washes over me
A
breeze of love and laughter
Whispers through the trees
All
of these things I see And I can’t quite believe
That this beauty belongs to me
All the stars in the sky
Twinkle brightly at night
And the moon shines upon the earth
Nothing can quite compare
To all the wondrous beauty here
Everything has enormous worth
So
I quietly stand amazed
Holding
a steady gazeAdmiring all that is mine
The beauty and grace
Contained in this place
Shall endure until the end of time

It's Been Awhile...
Another one of his topics was about giving away your heart, and taking care of others' hearts. He said to be careful who you give your heart to, to make sure they'll take care of it, and won't be careless with it. He also said to take care of the hearts of those who've given you their heart. It's a big responsibility and not one to be taken lightly. It scares me a little, having this huge job. I feel like I'm not prepared. But really, is anyone really prepared for that? I'm not sure, but I know that if you trust God with it He'll make it turn out right.
At camp I got to hang out with some old friends, and get ignored by some old friends. :p haha well, whatever, if they don't care about me anymore that's fine. I've got awesome friends already, I don't need to stay stuck in the past. If those people don't want to come with me into my future, then I won't stand around waiting for them. haha All ranting aside, it was awesome to see and talk to people I hadn't seen in a long time (as much as 3 years). It freaks me out to see just how much we've all grown up. And now I have to think about college? Yikes :p So much growing up to do, so little time :(
And on that happy note (hmm, do I detect sarcasm?), I bid you adieu. Until next time, when I present to you an example of my poetry haha ttyl :)
