Hey! Today is Valentine's Day so I wanted to talk about love. In the Bible there is a book called 1 Corinthians, and in that book is a chapter numbered 13, which deals with love. It talks about what love is, what it does, and what an excellent gift it is. It says that without love, every good thing we do means nothing in the end. Real love comes from God and without Him it would be hard to truly love at all. Our God-given gifts are worth nothing without God's love. Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not envy. It does not boast. It isn't proud. Love is not rude, or selfish, or easily angered. Love does not keep score. Love does not like evil but rejoices in truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. While other gifts may pass away, love never fails. Out of faith, hope, and love, the greatest of these is love. These are truths straight out of the Bible and if you believe, there is no debating this definition of love. On a holiday focused around human, sinful "love"- what is commercially promoted is lust- please keep this Godly love in mind, and let Jesus be your valentine. Thank you. :) Lots of Love <3 Happy Valentine's Day! <3
Love,
Rachel
