He hadn't taken more than three steps before he felt something brush against his leg. He looked down and saw that it was the mysterious white cat from earlier. Eden reached down to pet it but it dashed off in the direction of a large clearing. Again he followed the cat. As he approached, it became clear that the meadow was a type of crossroads, as there were paths branching off in all directions. The cat waited until Eden had caught up before starting down one of the trails, looking back every so often to make sure he was following. Eden understood that the cat was trying to lead him somewhere and was willing to follow, at least until he noticed that the scenery was changing. Instead of the lush trees and beautiful groundcover, the trees looked gnarled and sinister, and the underbrush was thorny and twisted. Eden's heart was seized by an urgent terror and he looked behind him for a way to get back to the cheerful meadow. To his astonishment and fear, he found that the path behind him had disappeared and was replaced by an impenetrable wall of thorns and branches.
Ttyl and something about an alligator :)
